Parent and Baby Yoga

About this Event

Find your center, relax, and connect with your baby. This group class, with other parents, focuses on breathing and relaxing postures. You have the option of keeping the baby close to you on your mat or actually having the baby participate in the movements. As a bonus, babies are treated to a gentle massage (by you) at the end of class. This is a great opportunity to take care of yourself and enjoy simple yoga while meeting other new parents.

The class is led by Paulette Butler, Postpartum doula, and fitness coach.

?Baby age: 4 weeks to crawling

?Drop-in rate: $12 per class, purchase at www.thewoodsyoga.com

?Participants will need to provide their own mat

Paulette Butler is the owner of NightLight Doula and provides services for families of newborns. As a Certified Lactation Counselor, she offers breastfeeding education and ongoing support.

She has 20+ years of managing fitness centers in the Northeast and teaching a variety of classes. Paulette is a trained YMCA “You and Me, Baby” class facilitator, providing fun, fitness, and friendship for new parents. Leading “Parent and Baby Yoga” classes allows her passion for helping new parents to extend beyond her role as a postpartum doula.

When it comes to new babies and new parents, nothing’s new to a postpartum doula. Paulette is a nightlight of sorts, making things a little less scary, and illuminating what is right before you, so you can clearly see.

Paulette is a knowledgeable doula guiding you towards your motherhood style. In her free time, Paulette enjoys gardening, walking her dog, and spending time with family.
