About Us
Girls Leadership Collaborative is a site-based leadership development program that empowers girls to design and implement service learning projects that positively impact their communities. The program examines the dynamics of group formation and social hierarchy in peer groups to maximize their collaborative potential, productivity and success in real-world settings.
A portion of the proceeds from our Girls in the Lead programs will go to our partner, the Rhode Island Food Bank, directly feeding those who need it most in our communities.

Girls Leadership Collaborative provides a transformational camp experience for girls entering grades 3-8. We offer hands-on individualized leadership development where participants identify personal leadership styles and individual strengths while developing community.
Each week-long camp welcomes all girls, both new and returning, to the GLC experience. This includes our signature elements like the high and low ropes course, Strengths-Explorer tool, group challenges and engaging experiences designed to challenge girls with self- expression, productive risk-taking, and brain-based research driven short micro-sessions where girls learn the neurobiology and drivers of decision-making, risk-taking, and unconscious biases. This camp will allow returning girls to mentor new GLC-ers, as well as model reflection and initiating in group settings. Girls will enjoy social time swimming and kayaking, interacting with guest practitioners in yoga and mindfulness exercises to help quiet the mind, and explore unconscious bias with diversity, equity and inclusion experts in the field. In addition, the camp will provide girls with the opportunity to select from a variety of themes that interest them related to leadership such as: public speaking, design-thinking challenges, designing service learning opportunities, and outcome-oriented conflict resolution techniques. With a focus on FUN, we will build critical skills, confidence, and connectedness.
