In addition to our outstanding reputation, Bright Stars Rating, and the highest quality approval offered by the Rhode Island Department of Education, St. Andrew Preschool offers many extras.
Calendar – We offer a longer school year than most area preschools, beginning just after Labor Day and continuing into early June.
Parenting Classes – Both Kerry Gallup and Jean DeMelim are certified to teach the Early Learning Standards Parenting Course. This is a six-week course that covers developmental milestones for children birth to age five. The course is offered in March. Sessions are free and focus on fun family activities to enhance your child’s learning and development.
Parents of Preschoolers (POPS) – All parents are invited to participate in our parent group. This group offers opportunities to support your child’s emotional, social and intellectual development through educational events, social activities, potluck meals, and occasional fundraising events to enhance our school. Occasionally POPS helps with things like improving our playground (see photo below)
Kinder Camps – The St. Andrew Preschool offers a variety of Mini-Day Camp-type experiences for your children and their friends. They include a Winter Vacation Day Camp, April Vacation Earth Day Camp, as well as a weeklong summer day camp for 3,4 & 5 years olds called KinderCamp.
